Summer Cooling: We cool our home using an Evaporative Cooler (Swamp Cooler), which is an energy-efficient and eco-friendly system. In our dry mountain climate, this system delivers a constant flow of fresh, naturally cooled, and subtly humidified air—a welcome, comfortable relief from the dry heat! The cooler is typically operational from Memorial Day through the beginning of October, subject to weather conditions. A Note on Mountain Wildlife: Our property is nestled in a beautiful natural environment. While we take meticulous steps to clean and maintain the house and employ professional pest control, it is a reality of mountain living that insects and small field rodents can occasionally find their way inside, particularly during seasonal changes.
